Car photography

Self Portrait

While trying out a new lighting set-up for a photo shoot recently, I managed to get a rare picture of myself. Usually, I hate being on the other side of the camera, but I rather liked this one, so decided to keep it.

The Flute Player - Wedding video

My good friend Simeon Wood, as part of his marketing material, has produced a short video to promote himself for playing at weddings, during any part of the service, or reception.
Simeon plays woodwind instruments to virtuoso standard, and has played on top-level cruise ships, for TV programmes, as well as touring the country performing at many different venues.
His music is original, soothing and inspirational. I cannot recommend him enough for any event where his style of music would be appropriate.
To see a collection of my favourite wedding photographs used as the backdrop to Simeon's music is a privilege and a delight. Please visit his website for more details. www.simeonwood.com

So Beautiful Ball, 7th May 2011 - The Lowry Hotel Manchester

A crowd of very beautiful people descended on The Lowry Hotel, Manchester last night for the first event by So Beautiful events
Among those gathered were Lee Boardman, Shayne Ward and Faye McKeever, to help to raise funds for The Children's Adventure Farm TrustBased around a beautiful 17th century farmhouse, in the heart of Cheshire countryside, the Charity offers free adventure breaks and activities to children who are disadvantaged by illness, disability and poverty, from all over the Northwest (a very worthwhile cause in my opinion).
Guests were greeted by two very tall ladies, dapper looking young men and papparrazzi photographers, and treated to goody bags at the tables.
There were some very impressive prizes offered by sponsors for the auction, and chocolate bar golden ticket draw. The food provided by The Lowry was very high standard and delicious.
The main entertainment was courtesy of Souled as Seen, an excellent band who went down very well and had the dance floor full.
For those who did not have the pleasure of being there, and as a reminder to those who were, here's a selection of pictures.

Wedding photography at Bagden Hall - Nicola & David

Further to the post below, regarding the car issues, I now have pleasure in sharing a few of the pictures from  what was an amazing day.

I have rarely seen such a great bunch of people who all get on so well, determined just to have a great day celebrating the wedding of two of their number. The fact that there were THREE best men is just an indication of how well the whole group of friends get on.

The ceremony was conducted at St Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Aspley, Huddersfield, followed by a reception at Bagden Hall. Guests were transported to the church, and then to Bagden Hall in two splendid double-decker buses, courtesy of the Yorkshire Heritage Bus Company. (NOT the company responsible for the mix up with the bridal car)

The reception venue is one of the nicest I have had the pleasure of working at, with some lovely places for photos around the grounds.

Right from the bridal preparation shots, through to the hog roast supper and the night-time shots in the hotel grounds, it was a pleasure to share the special day with a very special couple. (Not forgetting the boys golf game a fortnight before).

The easter egg hunt for the children (!), and the dance-off between the boys and the girls of the bridal party were two extra bonuses to make a good day even better.

Here's a selection of the story of the day in pictures.
