Yorkshire and Scotland come together - Wedding Photography

An interesting mixture, but what a lovely couple. Destined for great things, I'm sure.
The Venue Halifax played host to another great wedding reception, coming into its own as a large wedding venue capable of accommodating a good number of guests, with the island providing the ideal spot to spend some time outside, and a cracking location for the group shots and couple photos.
The venue is fantastic, the speeches were excellent, and the guests a fabulous bunch of people, just the recipe for the day to be all that Lynnie and Wayne would want it to be (and they both looked amazing too!). Here's a little flavour of how it went.

A great night out with funny man Josh Daniels and a Neil Diamond Tribute

The Venue Halifax played host to a great night out last Saturday with an amazing menu followed by a set by Josh Daniels, a very funny comedian from the North East, complete with his very small guitar, to which he sings some well-known, but slightly modified, songs. His involvement of the audience is classic, but not always to the liking of the subject, but his manner is always to let them know that he is is just having fun. With a personal viewpoint on everyday situations (or not so everyday!) the laughter meter is always registering high levels of appreciation. Just to be clear, Josh is not one to book for children's parties.

He was followed by an excellent Neil Diamond tribute, in the form of Bob Drury (see http://www.neildiamondtributeact.co.uk ). The man actually sounds like Neil Diamond, and puts on a ace show, getting the audience up dancing and is one of the most authentic tribute acts I have seen. If you are a Neil Diamond fan, or planning a party for someone who is, Bob would be an absolutely perfect choice.

The Bootleg Blues Brothers at The Venue Halifax, 20th May 2011

Once again The Venue pulled off a fantastic night. Mexican banquet with a top class tribute act to follow.
Fajitas, burritos, and the Bootleg Blues Brothers made for a really hot night of food and entertainment.

Ritchie Penrose at The Venue Halifax

Once again, we had the pleasure of working at The Venue Halifax on a night when Ritchie Penrose, an amazing soul singer was performing.

The venue serve a fantastic meal, in a large room with great ambience, and the space allows the singer to move around the audience, singing personally to some of the guests (can be specially arranged if anyone has a birthday or anniversary).

To have one of the best soul singers around performing at one of the best venues in Yorkshire always makes for a great night. More the pleasure when I get the chance to take some pics, of which here is a selection to give you an idea what to expect if you book him.
