A potential for a ruined day occurred at a recent wedding in Huddersfield on 16th April. The bride was waiting for the car to come and take her and the bridesmaids to the church for the service and the car failed to turn up.
There was no phone call from the car company, and no reply on any of the contact numbers provided.
For most brides, this would have been a complete disaster, and the whole day could well have been ruined.
Not for Nicola, who deserves the prize for the most laid-back bride ever. She just said, "Well let's phone for a taxi", so they did.
Down at the church, we were warned of the nightmare unfolding, only to be treated to the sight of the bridal party turning up in a white mini bus. All was not lost, the service continued on time, and the tone for the rest of the day was not affected in the slightest.

The bride's mother contacted me and asked if I could send a picture of the bridal party in the mini bus to the newspaper for them to publish, a request which I was only to happy to comply with.
The service took place at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Aspley, Huddersfield, and the reception was at Bagden Hall.
